♦ Logtalk_3.25.0.pkg
Corrected spurious backtracking occurring on some calls to the built-in predicate define_events/5.
Disallow using Logtalk and Prolog built-in meta-predicates as messages in order to avoid conflicting semantics with user-defined object and category meta-predicates. The Logtalk control constructs (,)/2, (/2, (->)/2, and !/0 may still be used as syntactic sugar when sending a set of messages to a single object.
Added custom handling of specification of predicate exceptions in info/2 documenting directives when writing XML documenting files (declared as "exceptions is [Cond1-Term1, Cond2-Term2, ...]"; each pair (Condi, Termi) represents an error condition and its respective exception).

IMPROVED: The compiler now also generates calls/2 entity properties for uses/2 and use_module/2 directives as their compilation generates auxiliary linking clauses calling the referenced predicates to cope with runtime constructed goals. Logtalk already includes ready to use adapter files for most academic and commercial Prolog compilers. If an adapter file is not available for the compiler that you intend to use, then you need to build a new one, starting from the included file. Start by making a copy of the template file. Carefully check (or complete if needed) each listed definition. If your Prolog compiler conforms to the ISO standard, this task should only take you a few minutes. In most cases, you can borrow code from the predefined adapter files. If you are unsure that your Prolog compiler provides all the ISO predicates needed by Logtalk, try to run the system by setting the unknown predicate error handler to report as an error any call to a missing predicate. Better yet, switch to a modern, ISO compliant, Prolog compiler. If you send me your adapter file, with a reference to the target Prolog compiler, maybe I can include it in the next release of Logtalk. Compiling and loading an entity that contains references to unknown entities (by default) prints a warning. Updated user and reference manuals. Removed choice-point in processing metacalls in predicate definitions. Removed from the YAP POSIX integration script the command-line options setting the initial stack, heap, and tail data area sizes. These settings are no longer necessary for recent YAP versions. FIXED: Bash shell typos in the script. open search ADDED: Missing retry trace option for the debugger tool.
